Message from the Honorary Mayor

I am privileged to be part of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and to serve as its 2010 Honorary Mayor.

The Chamber serves as the eyes and ears of both our business and residential communities. Coming off a very difficult 2009, we recognize the challenges facing our membership and community. Businesses need to continually expand their customer base and residents need to recognize the value of shopping locally.

To accomplish this, we offer monthly mixers for both members and non-members, an interesting series of Network Luncheons with guest speakers, an annual Business Expo designed to promote and invigorate businesses throughout the Crescenta Valley and neighboring communities, an entertaining Smart-A-Thon event to raise funds to support community organizations, a "Taste of the Foothills" event to give local restaurants an opportunity to promote their food specialties, and even a "Hometown Country Fair" event complete with carnival rides and a variety of foods representing the ethnic makeup of our community.

I encourage you to visit our Chamber office as well. It literally serves as a "clearing house" for current information on legislative issues, school programs, local business, community events, or even providing direction on who to contact for a specific concern.

The Chamber exists to serve you. If not already a member, please take a few moments to fill out the membership application. This small step will ensure you becoming part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team working together to achieve common goals.
